My bicycle has a bongo drum built in and I entertain myself by humming tunes and accompanying myself on the drums. It's a hum-drum lifestyle.

Do you have satellite radio in Oz? I love my XM radio (150 channels) - it makes my 1 1/2 hr commute go more better.

Back to the Wii...

Do not about the Radio, But in a few weeks I'm going to do 1hr 10-20 min commute to work, I was thinking about borrowing those talking books from the Library.
I haven't read a book in ages only manuals, websites, emails and things like that.

Cheers

Library is Cheap (Free) and no bandwidth used.

RMIT Uni Bundoora West Campus ( Where I work doing desktop support) has a fairly large collection of talking books and an Applied Science department that is hugely involved in Aquaculture and Plant Biology :), If I build it they might help support it, they have a AP system but it is small only 1 tonne (1000l) but they do have a ACulture farm in Lakes entrance. LOL If I get this up and running and get some of the Post Grads involved, I (Opps Post Grads) might get a Goverment research grant to expand.

I have to go to Dial up when I move (Exchange not xDSL enabled :( ) and not paying through nose for NextG wireless.
This is going to be a shock to the system as I have had Broadband for over 10years.

Cheers
Ron

Ron dont know if you have Internode over there but I was looking at the same probs as you with broadband connections but my ISP (Internode) does a wireless setup 1100$ (approx) for the gear radio receiver, tower) they supply and fit and the plan is the same as I'm on, now 512/128 49.95 per month 20 gig then capped.
I won't lose the company here and will be able to keep on learning

My BIL is able to get satelite broadband and the government covers the set up costs of about $3500. Worth checking out.

Thanks DD, but internde only does selected areas in SA.

Hi Monya, I have tried to find out more about this but very confusing, I think because it is possible to get ISDN connected ( twice the monthly cost of standard line rental and more expensive for all phone calls) I can only get the 1 way Sat system because of this, and then I am locked into either of the 2 main carriers and there extorinate pricing plans.
I am trying to find out but it is tough going and the infomation I find on the net is very confusing.

Start moving from the 15/1, From Thomastown to Longwood
Longwood is 16k's south of Euroa 2k's from the Hume

LOL from 5 min drive to work to 1hr 10- 20min drive to work. Thats going to take some getting use to.
5 mins drive to work means about 30 mins to walk I have walked to work quite a few times

Well 1/2 acre with house for under $100k, beats paying rent and I felt was an opportunity I couldn't pass up and whats an hour's driving to work. I know plenty of people that take an hour or more to drive into the city for work (traffic congestion) and live in the burbs.

LoL I only have 1 left turn, 1 right turn, 1 left turn then another left turn and I'm in the carpark at work :) and the car has cruise control. and I only go through 3 sets of traffic lights.

Cheers
Ron

Under $100 grand is certainly a good motivating factor!
