searched around but couldnt find a definitive answer, saw some concern of leaching, but these are cheap made in china pools so not sure if they would have any fancy algae retarding chemiclas at all.

this one is about 650 gallons, i could build a skirt for it with the fence planks, make it blend into the yard well.

I wouldn't use them myself, one sml pin prick from a fish spike and you have a HSM on your hands.

the box said it was a three ply something or nother. im seriously thinking of putting catfish in one of these. unless someone has a great great reason not to. i can fix a pin prick lol, i wont have marlin and sawfish in here. HSM are something i love, gives me the op to do damage control. good at it.

anyway, they seem pretty thick, not too worried of a fin doing any damage. for 79 $ the next step up is like 1000 gallons i think.


so far i have used 1 gallon buckets and a few 10 gallon totes. a cheap pool with huge volume will really push what i want to experiment with and keep the bank relativley low.

btw i plan on using cats from good ole worm on a hook fishing, i live on a texas lake. hopefully, small channels, but blues love the worms too,

you will have to add the cost of pool fencing if those law apply to you or if you have kids about
i have used these pool from kmart for my kids and thay dont last more than a few week,(of cause kids arnt fish i know)
you would be better of with the metal framed pools thay sell
mine was $200au and its still going strong (kids have tryed to killed it but have failed)
ive always thought that when there too big for it, its mine

Keep an eye on the free section of craigslist.com for your city. I see people giving away spas almost weekly here in houston. I've seen pools and even blue barrels for free too.

I know someone who works at WalMart in the claims debt. She says every fall several pools get returned. It is obvious people are returning them after a full season of use. I don't condone "gaming" the system like that, but wanted to point out that returning it should be relatively hassle free if you do have problems with it.

She says the same thing happens around the Superbowl. People buy big screen TV's leading up to the game and return them days after.

I still can't find the picture of Joel's first system which used a pool like these.

having a pool at home is really enjoying especially when the whole family will get together on swimming, but if ever we will going to construct a pool,(I suggest to construct a pool rather than buying plastic one for it will not going to last long) we should secure first a safety compliance so that our pool will be safe all the time. Like me I install pool fence on my pool so that my children will not go on their own on the pool for they are still small and they need guidance.
