It certainly nows appears that the entire nuclear facility may be lost...

Reactors #1 & #3 have suffered hydrogen explosions that have blasted the outer building structures... and are apparantly in "relatively" safe cold meltdown... with low level radiation emmissions

Reactor #2 appears to have actually suffered a breach of the actual containment vessel... and appears destined to meltdown... with potential high level radiation emmissions...

Of even more concern is reactor #4, or more particularly the actual spent rod cooling system... a giant swimming pool that contains the "hot" spent fuel rods... which are said to be "boiling" and have erupted into two seperate fires...

These rods are the super-nasties in terms of radiation...

The Japanese authorities have increased the exclusion zone from 20km to 40km....

And reports are that the original number of 800 workers had been reduced to 50 essential personel... who have now been withdrawn as levels of exposure are approaching lethal in less than 5 minutes of exposure....

Two Australian reporters aboard a news chopper that was forced to male an emergency landing 40km from the original exclusion zone (20km)... were found to have low level readings for radiation... that's 60km from the facility.....

All indications are that this is a major and still unfolding nuclear disaster.... it's begun raining and snowing... and the wind is expected to increase... spreading any radiation toward Tokyo....

Interestingly many other countries are reviewing the nuclear power plans for the future.
