Hmm i do the nitrate tests as i normally do it.

10 drops then a few flips of the tube, shake solution 2 then 10 drops then shake for 1 min.

As i was doing the water change i was doing something else and i drained about 50% pf the water :upset:

Bah hopefully it doesnt delay cycling that much

I am unfiltered i think. Trying to get a new GB online ASAP. I would have thought with about 22 silvers (7cm) and 17 yabbies (10cm) my 350L GB should provide enough filtration for the moment?

Yes constant flood till i get everything cycled. I am thinking about putting in some filtration in the mean time, maybe ceramic rings.

Zman, my advice. Stop fracking around with the system. If you have added salt to your tank. Don't worry abt the high nitrite. The more water changes you do, the longer it would take for the system to cycle. The more you tinker with the system, the more stress fishes will feel and stress fish get sick or eaten easily. I'm sure you don't like someone coming into your home and start moving things around daily do you? You would be stressed. So why is it different for the fish? Take a holiday.

Who is going to worry about the fish then

Just did another water test.

Ammonia - 0.5 (Hmmm how the heck would it change so much without feeding them? Unless they just pooped out what they ate a few days ago lol)
Nitrite - 5+
Nitrate - 5
PH - 7.4
