Have been so busy the last couple of days with the wedding, I hadnt really had a chance to look at the plant growth like I normally do each day... I had a good look tonight and the growth in the last few days is REALLY noticeable! Our cukes and corn are growing so fast, as well as the squash and zucchini. Interesting thing is that seedling growth is not very noticeable STILL... whereas all the plants that have come from seed we planted is really coming along well.

Think I need to start buying some good seed from Diggers or Eden seeds soon and look closer at propagation techniques :? .

pics or its not true :bootyshake:

Got some plans in the pipeline for a header tank so we can hook up a spa heater in-line to circulate through the FTs overnight for winter... that way we can turn off the GBs at night and stop them wasting the heat we can hopefully generate.

The header was originally considered as when we have been turning off the system at night, the tanks are full, but when we switch them on in the morning, the FTs drop to almost half capacity - guessing we are cycling 2000L in the system during the day... so thinking if we can keep the FTs full during the day, when we switch them off we need somewhere to store the excess water... and if we are going to use that to keep cycling the water through to the FTs at night... we may as well see if we can heat it too!

Considering a stainless steel boiler set-up over a cob oven contraption eventually so that we can heat water and cook at the same time... but this year might see what we can do with the spa heater and a couple of the IBCs - and LOTS of insulation!

what do you think guys?... thoughts welcome :)
