Also with the 2 struts they will not support the GB properly (it will sag). Put additional cross support for the GB and keep it elevated off the FT. I cannot even access most of my fish with the GB sitting directly over the FT

If that base sags under the weight....I'll walk east :D, I stood in it, admittedly to the sides, after cutting out the center drain hole, so thats 105kg (official fat bastard weight) and no real sagging.
These GB's will have hydroton in them anyway and there is bugger all weight in that :)
I will cut a space for access into the bottom tank on two of them but the two with filters I won't worry about, if i need to get them out I will have to remove the GB and will design the pipework to suit.... :D

Zman, I don't have a problem with access to my IBC fish tank, I just roll the Grow Bed out of the way!

I don't know if you have seen my thread on the IBC system, so here's a link.

I am thinking blue metal, pea gravel, small river stone/rock - what ever is most cost effective and wont affect the PH too much (will test with some vinegar).

While out and about on Sunday I saw two guys pulled up on the side of the road with a trailer helping themselves to a load of blue metal....cheeky buggers :D

:funny1: ....What like norton or something

These have been seperated from mum unless supervised by the owner.
1st time bully mums have a real nasty trait, there was 9 pups in the litter and mum killed 5 at birth :( the owner just got out to her in time before she killed the lot.
The longer pups stay with their mothers (in most cases) the better I think.
