Just a little update, the first seedlings are in:

http://greendream.mrblenny.com/archi...rst-seedlings/

and yesterday I put in my second pump (which will be on 24/7 to provide constant oxygen)

http://greendream.mrblenny.com/archives/155/pumped/

As I took the lazy route and only did a brief rinse of my gravel before putting in the growbeds you couldn't see to the bottom of the pond. It was gradually clearing up and would probably be good in a week or two but I wanted to speed up the process so put some filter wool in the pre-filter chamber on the new pump and it has worked wonders. Less than 12 hours later the water is crystal clear and I can see all the starter fish (uncountable guppies and 5 small goldfish)! After a few days I will remove the filter wool so it does not clog up/pollute everything.

Next step - ordering some silver perch!

Fish have arrived!

http://greendream.mrblenny.com/

There are 50 little silver perch swimming around now, they are very active and try and eat anything which they see sinking in the water column (including an insect, snail and some fish food) and seem like happy little guys.

I gave them some flake food today but will go get some decent stuff tomorrow, will no doubt have to crush it up to begin with as they are still pretty small.

They are indeed small... even around Brisbane, going into winter with stock that small could have some problems...

Make sure you keep your water quality perfect...
