Are you human?: Daughters think not

Too much flow for a few NFT tubes to carry back to the fish tank, so extend the green line with a tee piece with one line going to the NFT and another carrying the rest straight to the fish tank. I think :)

i thought that may happen.
I was going to have the pump in the fish tank on a timer (15/45) and the pump in the sump on a float switch but will the bacteria in the filter survive?

I cant see why not. It should still be moist.

People successfully run timed flood and drain systems and their bacteria in the growbeds survive.

Watch your pump size with a 15/45 cycle. Ideally, and specially if you are going to stock near maximum levels you should be turning over the fish tank volume every hour. If you are only pumping for 15 mins then you will need a 20,000Lph pump.

Can I suggest the filter runs separately on a constant pump and the GBs on fd, so then the filter can do it's job better and you can stock higher numbers of fish
