I have several TuffStuff tubs from Tractor Supply, $60 110 gallon, special ordered a 180 gallon and a 90 gallon mortar tub (shallow like for a grow bed). When looking at containers I try not to consider anything that costs more than $1 per gallon. Special ordering or shipping things can blow out the price, so sticking to what you can get locally is the cheaper way to go too.

Hey, Dave. I noticed today that Tractor Supply had moved from the Rubbermaid tanks to the Tuffstuff ones. Are they the same? Same unkillable quality?

Hey 36hrday, start a thread with pictures of your pool, that sounds like an awesome project. Can you imagine if 1/2 of the pools in the desert were converted to AP??? BTW have you seen gardenpool.org?

Also Dufflight on here is using a pool, and few others I think too.

Boy what a busy weekend. Yeah that's a great idea. I have half the green house lid on. Waiting on specialty pvc fittings to come by snail mail in order to finish the skeleton. I have been taking pix. I need to figure out how to post pix here and then make some time to do it. I mentioned that I was doing this to a friend and I have a bunch of people calling me wanting to come over and see it. I've even gotten offers of free labor.-work for knowledge type of thing. So hey maybe 1/2 the pools in the desert will be converted. Garden pool guy wants $$ to come see his system. So I passed.
cheers.

That is funny. Once your system is up and running you'll have to send him an invite, for $10! :)

The Rubbermaid ones are hard, the TuffStuff ones are flexible but thick. The TuffStuff ones will distort if they aren't evenly supported, so in that way the Rubbermaid ones are prettier over time. The $60 for 110 gallons deal is hard to beat.

No kidding! Media washing is definitely labor intensive.

Hello!

Well I have spent the last two weeks glued to this forum. I think I have read every thread and some of them twice. My husband is scared. LOL We have a baby girl who is almost 2 and I am currently 4 months pregnant. I don't think I will be able to go outside much this summer because of the heat, but I am so excited about AP I am not really interested in putting in a traditional garden. I do know that I need to start building my system soon. I already have AP system drawings all over the house on every available surface actually I am afraid that if I dont build something soon I am going to have drawings on my toilet paper too.

I honestly have to say that you as a group are so well informed and so imforative that at this point I dont have a single question. I only wanted to say THANK YOU! and Hello.
