Thats the trouble with our climates obo, hot summers then cold nights come on quick in the autumn winter and drive temps down. Seeing it already here, frigging stupid weather

I have just been talking to Carey and he has just had his worst spawning season on record with his silvers, mine has also been dismal so far. So, getting any fish at all over the next year may be a problem.

No problems getting them to spawn Rup but getting the larvae to grow/survive has been the problem!! Drought, water clarity, Dragonfly Larvae, Tadpoles, egg quality and low numbers have all contributed to dismal season. We both still have ponds yet to drain so fingers crossed theres some reasonable numbers in there. Somewhere.......

yep, the weather has been so bad, we haven't even spawned this year... just no point when you can't sustain algal blooms to feed the larvae.... combine that with the floods etc in qld/nsw and it could be a very lean year.
