I've been led astray......

Seems that not everyone around here remembers what they plant where in the systems...

In the picture below there's a semi dried pod from the plant.

The seeds at the bottom left of the picture are the dwarf snake been seeds, nothing like the seeds in the pods.. Hmmmm, they look like mung beans me thinks... Go searching in our seed bucket, what do you know, an open packet of mung bean seeds.. Dried mung bean seeds bottom right of picture...

Oh well, we do have heaps of REAL snake been seeds left, I won't send people mung bean seeds...

At least you knew they were beans. I have planted stuff I never did figure out as it did not fruit and the leaves tasted like crap.

I was just thinkikng that they looked a lot like the mung beans I grew this year, except mine were the red variety. Nearly all the stems grew three beans...

I've dried a big chuck of these for soups in the winter, but half moulded, so they went in as green manure....

dwarf snake beans sound interesting, but given they are a climber, i'm not sure on the benefit of being dwarfed? how does it work?

my snake beans in the dirt are going great guns. I just keep them tip-pruned, and they are incredibly prolific..
