Anyone have a clue as to when they first shed their shells. Had a couple of floaters last couple of days but they look just like shells, but its hard to tell with them so small.

When they get bigger, if they die and are eaten there will be a calcium deposit left behind on the bottom of the tank. (I believe it is situated in the head part.) It is a small white disc less than the size of a 5 cent piece. When yabbies shed, they draw on this to harden their shell.
