Saw this advertised while flicking through the channels earlier.

Quote:
Are we facing a global food crisis? We take our food for granted. Supermarket shelves groan with an incredible variety of produce, but in 2008 as food riots swept the world, we saw that the international food system is not as stable as it looks. Is this just the beginning of a new era of food? Travelling to different parts of the globe, this two-part documentary unravels the complicated web of links that binds the world together, and asks what needs to happen to avert a major global food crisis. (From the UK) (Documentary) (Part 1 of 2) G CC

8:30pm SBS Tuesday 8th of February.

Thought some of you may be interested.

I hope people watched the second half of this last night... I forgot about it till the last minute..

Strange I think there are two separate shows, one called "the future of food" made in the US, and then the show from the UK "future of food" that has been on the last couple of weeks. certainly a different show.. Anyway, finaly toward the end of last nights episode they got to the subject of Aquaponics and had a bit on Charlie Price over in the UK.... :thumbright:

Nice work Charlie....

Bugger - I missed it cause the silly bloody underground tv cabling in Ellenbrook got cut yesterday so I had no signal.

I will have to try and find it on DVD.

I have even found sites which seem to be about George Alagiah and the Future of Food which show a DVD cover of the American version.

Have looked through the SBS and BBC shops online but cant find it
