+1 for Gardenworld, its a long drive but well worth a look. The guy at the hydro/aquaponics shop there loves to show you around, and he knows his stuff when you see the fish tanks and plants

Well yes unfortunately the main purpose of this first trip is investment property related, so don't have much time to wonder around. But might make a trip to the aquarium on Monday morning.

But I suppose I can always plan another trip to Melbourne some time later in the year or the next year. I think driving in the Melbourne city is a bit confusing (almost messy) but I think there is heaps of things to do/eat/see in the city within walking/tram distance... *not an expert, but still figuring out*

Vic markets

Forget the tourist crap

Go bratwurst, Spanish donuts and jam donuts.

Finish up with coffee and croissant from the bakery opposite macdonlads

Definately can't miss Queen Victoria markets for fresh produce, mind boggling. Fresh peeled prawns that taste like prawns used to. Meats, cheeses, stuffed peppers, dips, colours and smells that you wouldn't believe and they have a coffee shop/ eating place or 10 tucked in every alley way. Very atmospheric, I love Melbourne, be there soon.

Well our time in Melbourne/Victoria is almost over. Unfortunately we slept in on Monday, hence did not get to see anything else except take a walk around Myers and David Jones in the city. Will have to schedule a tour of Queen Victoria markets the next trip.

Hired a car and drove down to Werribee where we stayed for the next few nights. Tonight's the last night and will be driving back to Melbourne airport tomorrow morning. "Holidays" over.

Embi, thanks for showing us around your AP setup today. I am actually surprised that you can squeeze so much into the growbeds. I will be looking at doing the same at my place. And also the shadecloth curtain. Will get something similar done at my place as well..

Thanks everyone for your input. Oh yes, we were actually surprised to see 24 hours Kmart in Werribee and Melton. Is that the same in other places of Victoria? Actually most big stores open long hours... I think Coles open at 6am and closes at midnight...
