Okay, the trip is confirmed. Thanks to all the good information.

Will be flying into Melbourne 11 Feb, and staying at the Mercure Welcome.. Missus sold on the idea that it is close to DJ and Myers... except she is looking around the hotel for good asian food. Suggestions welcome, bearing in mind that she does not plan to walk too far with 2.5 years toddler... The 3 hours difference would probably throw the little girl sleeping "clock" out...

Anyways, I will be going to the conference on 11 night, 12 and 13 Feb while she spends on my credit card...

Plan to head out to Werribee on 14 Feb afternoon and will stay to 17 Feb mid morning before heading to Melbourne Tullamarine airport. Staying at the Werribee Park Best Western as suggested... So again suggestions for good asian food around Werribee will be good.

Still a bit of planning to do but the main intent is to visit our investment property in Werribee and Melton West, but I am sure we might have some time to visit member's AP system as well.

Pity it looks like the Victorian summer get-together is happening in March...

For dumplings and Sichuan go to HuTong in market lane.

For Hainan chicken rice, look for one of the alleyways opposite the myer entrance in the Bourne st mall.

For Thai, go to Red Spice Road.

For yum cha go to shark fin house.

Thats the time we had lunch too Ivan. Have you been to Ackland st St Kilda and tried their cakes. The Aquarium is awesome and Its a great one for the children. There are plenty of things to see and do, the list is endless. Gardenword is worth a trip and they have a great cafe, they have an interesting aquaponics/hydroponics display set up there as well as a huge garden centre.
