I am helping to run an orphanage here in Bali. I am the "operations manager" so my job description can be almost anything but basically it means i am in charge. That means the buck stops with me so a lot of resposibilty for me and ym wife. Its a great experience though the holidays makes it a little more stressfull.

Ok So Now for some photos first you have the fish Red Tilapia. I also have ten other fish like the blue one (forgot name help would be appreaciated) they were the system starters.

Next we have the soon to be coco peat grow bed and our duckweed tank. I have been putting the tail less in hear for recovery as well.

And then Our Growbeds with the chillis in them. In the back you can see the header tank.

Well have coem across the first major hurtle. We have suicudial fish. They seem to keep raming them selves into the pump. So today I have had to drain the tank and go and get something to put over the inlet so that they stop killing themselves. The other problem is i have a lot of deformed fish now i thikn its the old ones (blue) that are attacking the tilapia as eyes and fins have gone missing as well. If i knew what kind of fish they were i might be able to find out. Any ideas?

So i wake up this morning to a dead pump. Run out to fix it and while i am clearing debrie i end up cracking the outlet pump. 2 hours till i have to leave and i have water sooting out the bottom of the tank.

So what to do. Catch the fish, pump it out, glue it up real fast, pray hard, put water back in and bring the fish back. Good news all fish survied bad news I seem to have lost about 40 of them over the last week as they were using the pump as a hiding place.

Can't blame them it was a great place once you went in you were never seen again.

Well i should be off of here. Got to go and set off lots of cheap and probably very unsafe fire works . BOOM BOOM :blob6: Have a good one all of you see you back here in 2007. :wav: :occasion9: :occasion5: :occasion7:
