I bought some seeds from bunnings and some from ebay.

I soaked them for a couple of hours then put them into seeding trays with seeding mix and a lid to act like a mini greenhouse.

But after a week and a half, nothing has sprouted. Is there anything else i need to do to propagate seeds?

Are you human?: occasionally
Location: Qld.
Don't let them dry out, don't drown them and don't cook them under the little hot house.
I usually start mine in a bit of shade.Water once in the morning and again if its its warm or windy.
Get most to shoot
Some seeds haven't, I think its the seeds not me, as others next to them have shot.
Retry, fail and confirm dud seeds.(don't buy cheap seeds from a hot shop that doesn't move a lot of seeds.)

Seeds such as celery may take up to 3 weeks to germinate, depends on the seeds and the appropriate timing for one thing.
We just throw ours in the growbeds and watch them germinate in record time. :)
Have you got any photos Zman?
Could be too wet or too dry, too hot or too cold, too dark :dontknow:
What was the best before date, what type of seeds were they?

If a seed is dried more than normal(think its to 4% ish) the seed will last longer but takes more time to germinate. If you have a worm farm, thro the seeds into the castings and check them every week or so.

Im with Faye, I have been chucking them in the GB, not all germiate but if you put enough in a few will come up.
After they have germinated I have carefully pulled apart one s that are to close together and replanted, digging them in deeper and they took off after that.
I hold the pcket of seeds about 2 feet above GB and give packet a bit of a shake then run hand over surface of GB to shake seeds down into GB a bit. Not all go in at right depth but as I said put enough in in and some will come up.

I have the following seeds:

Big Chinese Cabbage
Yellow Melon?
Baby Carrot
Coliflower

All of them except the carrot came in little plastic bags from the ebay seller so really not too sure :geek:

I think i will just wait till i get the GB going this week and hope for the best. Failing that i will just buy some smaller plants :bootyshake:
