One for you perhaps Faye...

This grows in total shade under the house/back steps... nothing seems to kill it... and it receives very little water (only what seeps under the house when it rains...) Thrives...

State side we call it a "wondering jew". It turns mushy when it freezes but comes back every year.

Definitely a Wandering Jew and can be very invasive. Doesn't do so well in full sun, but will soon take over shaded areas.

Got some growing in a tub under a tap. Been there that long it does not have any soil left but doesn't seem to care.

What we call "wandering jew" around our way is this...

And it is an aggressive "creeper".... whereas the plant pictured in my photos isn't really an aggressive weed at all...

However... if you search google images for "wandering jew"... it shows pictures of both types... :dontknow:

Same family different species. Sorry I wasn't here earlier. I have the purple variety under my palm trees creating contrast foliage colour, it is doing very well in the current heat. The other variety I am trying to eradicate in other parts of the garden.
