The amount of grow bed volume you can support is determined by your sump size.

In your case you have 600litres of grow beds which, if all flooded at the same time, will hold around 300 litres of water. Your 400 litres sump will just do the job :) However you will need to be checking your water very regularly during hot weather.

Hole saws come in a range of sizes and can be bought as a set. The size you use is determined by the size of the plumbing bits you use. If you are lucky you can cut a hole that is just big enough to tightly screw the male part of your plumbing into. Then use a little silicon and sandwich the grow bed between the male and female bits.

Spending an hour or so at a hardware store looking at all the plumbing bits and bobs to work out how they could be used can be fun :D

Got blue metal delivered today about $60 for 1/2 tone delivered.

Damaged done by the truck driver delivering said metal going to cost me about $200 to fix and he isnt taking responsibility for it due to a little line at the bottom of the invoice.

Quote:

If there vehicle is required to cross the footpath or enter the property to complete delivery, the purchaser takes full responsibility in providing safe access and will pay for all damages to public and private property and every injury or wrong which may result.

Landscape company sub contracts the delivery out and driver is a complete knob so i have to fix it out of my pocket. Could have got all clay balls for this price

oh man - sorry! But there could be a lesson there for the rest of us thinking of getting gravel delivered! Clay balls are certainly something for me to consider now.

There was obviously 3m+ on the other side but he didnt seem to understand how to do his job. He parked it then got out chucked some bags around then lifted it up. He has lied to the company i directed him in and there was no room to get out to check height clearance......

use 25mm soft PVC tubing... hydro stores, or Bunnings are your best bet... and plumb through the bottom... although through the sides wont matter that much, it's just a cleaner siphon break through the bottom IMO...

That is complete dogs balls and means nothing. If you have the energy you can send it to a small claims court etc.etc. Or - walk onto their property and smash something and see if you are held responsible or not.
