Well, they are on the Restricted Secies list for Texas. I have sent an email to the administrator of the texas parks and wildlife department. Hopefully he will let me know something in the next day or 2

Yeah, they are 100% illegal in texas. Only way you can have them in texas is if they are dead and gutted :(

Thats a bummer. When the Louisiana crawfish harvest begins in the next few months, you should be able to get plenty of red swamp crawfish.

I harvested a pond full of koi today. I picked up a few red swamp crayfish. We call them mudbugs or crawdads. I took some pics next to a tape measure, the large numbers are inches. 1 inch = 2.54 centimeters. So these large specimens are approximately 20 cm long.
Here's my first try....

I know its not crays but when i was working we had a chinese bloke who would put a whole prawn in his mouth chew it up then spit out the bits he dident want
