Yeah, a big pump would surely move a lot more crap. Milne has IBC's as fish tanks too as most of us know , so I am guessing he has a lot of water movement in them, from having lots of fish, and the big water flow.
Or he might just be lazy :laughing3:

The bottom of my fish tanks are as clean as a just wiped babys bum and i aint lazy  :thumbright: :thumbleft:

Well it has been a while since my last confession!!!!

But i will confess the poor system has been fending for itself for the last few weeks, been working a lot, coupled with bad weather and then there is also my new venture that is taking up any time iv got left.... and i will be un-veiling this new venture in the next week or so!!!!

Went in and had a cleanup this morning, Harvested a bunch of Rhubarb that has been going Absolutely wild, moved some Zuchini plants that have gone from tiny seedlings into wild plants around to a better location , which left me room to plant some new seedlings. Also pulled all the pipes off and gave them a clean, to be plesently supprised they didnt need it, small ammount of algea build up but no solids at all.

planted in some new Rocket, Parsley and Silverbeet.

Fish are growing well too!!!! good to see the little buggers getting some size on them!!! feeding at 3% under 24c and 5% over 24c dont see much food left lying around anymore either and None in the growbeds.

Heres some photos of the system

Made one of my beds only empty about half each cycle, just trying somthing new as it has been CF for the last month and everything in it went nuts, the zuchini plants were moved from this bed
