HI just wondering if any body has do a shade house or lean to out of pvc pipe just wondering if it will be strong enough or is there i certain type u have to use .

Yep, might be a bit of over kill depending on how big your pond is

Thanks i was going to use the white pvc pipe about 4 meters SQ do u reckon it will be strong enough i will be useing 1inch box tubing for uprights i hope it will be strong enough

Would depend on the design. If you could put up a rough sketch then the engineering dudes here will let you know. I built the one above from and already proven design from MalcomC on Murrays forum

I have built one at home which has with stood the stong easterlies we have had lately.

It is made out of 25mm PVC pipe.

Mine is attached to the fence and house using T Pieces on the ends with 32mm conduit clamps to attach them to timber.

You could make a free standing one by driving star pickets into the ground and attaching the pipe to them.
