I suspect the catfish. Jaymie has mentioned a few times in the last few weeks that we will have to catch and remove him before we get any more fingerlings. He has obviously gotten wind of this and has put a plan into action that leaves him as the most important fish in the tank. i.e. the only one left alive!!!! I have found a litttle pillow floating with the other fish and suspect that he has suffocated them while they slept! What we really need is a piscine "Hercule Poiroit" to come and make the little bastard confess!!!!!!

What sort of catfish is it? Have had a couple in my aquarium inside and had to remove them (bloody difficult thing to do), as they grow so quickly and are very aggressive. Wondering if Tandanis catfish are like this or not

I've had cat fish chew on the smaller fish and cause ammonia spikes, but we have a big cave in which the dead can lay unseen, rotting and pollute the water until there are larger kills. I'd think that it would be hard for the dead to be undiscovered for long in your system.

Max bummer, my friends. My sympathies.
