Decided to harvest some of the fish today. We took out around 60-70 and invited some friends around to help us catch them. The kids had a ball.

Today we tried smoking some of our trout. It was the first time i've smoked fish and what a result.

Cryovaced for use over the next few months... we'll use them in pasta, risottos and pate etc

I had the good fortune to stumble across a fellow blogger who is a photographer. He and his family came out and spent a few hours with us looking at the system. We hooked a few trout and he took some AMAZING photos.

I've seen an old Weber lid on top of a old 220 litre drum, just Google "ugly drum smoker".

The smoker was only $115. Cheap i reckon and I did 13 trout in it the other day.
