Hey m3tal, I got some polyester batting at the crafts store and next to the polyester kind was some cotton batting. That would probably break down if you wanted the stuff to, over time.

Yeah It would probably over time, put im sure it doesnt need too,

its only just under the surface and once i get too transplanting im sure i'll be able to get it out and get rid of most of it.

Wife got me onto some 100% Hemp Webbing thinking about using this next time going to get some and see what its like.

cleaned out the filters today and re instated them, VERY Dirty indeed, water has cleared up heaps and i can see the fingerlings sccoting around very quick they are.... caught a few feeding on some algea but scared them off when i threw in some feed. left the lid off the tank so they get used of light, might just put shadecloth over it so they have light :P

thinking about knocking up a Filter that can be placed inline on my Tank Outlet, so if things dirty up a bit i can just put it inline as needed (i find that stirring up media when planting and moving plants and getting roots out really stirs things up) by using a 25l drum and a flowerpot full of this wool stuff. so it will allow for high flow but also clean well.

all good on the m3tal front... now to brace for rain :P

just went out with torch to try catch a peed at the perch, i could only find 3-4... very frustrating.... so i thry a tsp of food in and shined the torch back in and now i wonder if iv got 80-90 :P they are hungry little fishes, and dont seem torch shy when theres food on hand.

Corn ears are going mental on my 2 ft corn plants :dontknow: LOL smallest damn corn plants iv seen, grown 8-10 footers in dirt hahahah

anyone want cherry tomatoes?? im going to have Bazillions of them :) had 9 plants, then stiked 4 cuttings off the plants that i took off the bottoms of them so now 13 plants :) plus 10 roma plants hahahahaha :laughing3: :laughing3:

flowers on zuchinni no fruit yet but iv been polenating and the beans are same story.....got about 5-6 white/greenish butterflys in there that have just come out of cacoons that i found so im leaving them in there to pollenate hopefully plus my girs love them its there own butterfly house....

my mate found a Native bee nest in his yard.... he was going to get rid of it but i told him to leave it alone i wana pinch it :P but i dont wana upset nature. Thinking about setting up a Hive for some bees and allowing them to venture into the shadehouse and outside it as well.

A hive of native bees would be great. I get bees around the garden but not all the time and I reckon a hive in your backyard would help with pollination heaps.

I have a bee hive and they are going great guns! I reakon if you have the native bees (they have no sting, or at least a very very very very very very small one), then all the better.

those "white greenish" butterflies could be cabbage butterflies.. i had a few hatch out in the basement, you want to get rid of them! (my fish loved them, the cats not so much, they only caught one)

We have bees coming from miles for the water in our system, especially on hot days..

Guess you guys aren't having the hot dry weather we're having though...

Nope, no hot and dry here yet anywhere on the east side. Water laying everywhere around us and mozzies the size of baby sparrows

i know iv been meaning to get to B to Buy another one the same, cant beat the Aquapro, and i dont see the need for a laguana as iv still got more flow with this yet (if i take the venturi out it flows much faster) i'm thinking about another AP3000 and maybe a smaller one to just be a pure venturi/whirlpooler

making another system soon also to house some more fingerlings....
