Just waiting for it to hit now....can see it coming.
when they forcast for between 20 and 200mm depending on supercell activity - it doesnt give you much of an idea of what your going to get does it?

31 rivers in flood - hate to think what this next rainfall will do.

We are on the Murray and Darling Junction, and wondering when all this water is going to reach us. Appparently the Mildura (Murray) and Wentworth (Darling & Junction) Weirs have just been pulled out to prepare for the high flows. Hoping they arent going to both hit at once otherwise we will be in a major flood scenario.

...just got hit by the first bank of 3 we can see... OMG never seen so much lightening in one quick cell. A couple hit over house and power went off for a few seconds, the rest was sheet lightening which was constant for awhile, other than that guessing at about 15mm in 15mins rain (will check gauge tomorrow :shifty: ) and a 5 minute wind gust which was pretty strong...just starting to see next bank on the horizon - lots of flashes :headbang: LOVE THUNDERSTORMS :D

We're up to about 70mm and just got hit again. Mildura just declared its wettest year on record.
A wheat station 100kms south of us has had 100mm in 12hrs.

Just heard Wagga Wagga was forecast for 25mm but looks like they could get over 100mm

Australia at 9amish this morn declared wettest year on record.
Long range forecast says another 25-50mm front in about a weeks time.

I know :support: Feel sorry for you guys - nothing worse than being desperate for rain and seeing it hitting everywhere else.

Console yourselves with the fact that we are getting WAY too much of a good thing over here.

I think they are talking about national average - but the Oz record thing is true apparently.

9 days into December and Mildura has had 6 times its average monthly rainfall for December. Should be dry for a few days, but more is forecast for next week.

Hi chillidude :wave1: I'm still about. Just been reading your post about having exams. I've just completed my exams and it's been 30 years since I've had them! Have really enjoyed being a student again though.

Those catfish have grown heaps since that photo, really getting too big for the tank and i can't eat a pet :( may have to get a bigger tank.

How is everyone over in the east of Australia? Well, and in the US, and in Europe... Man crazy weather everywhere at the moment, while we still have very hot drought like conditions here in the west.
