Nothing seems to stop the blue barrel system EB.... :notworthy:

Actually... other than the trout tank cover, and the holding tank mishap... which were on the southerly side of the block....everything else came through virtually intact...

Your doing well to have them still going, pulled ours out a long time ago because they were pretty dismal. What are your water tempos like there at the moment Rupe?

Blue barrel system (700L) ... full sun (northerly exposure)... 15.7

Perch tank (1000L) .... full sun & solar array (northerly exposure)... 16.8

Trout tank (6000L) ... shaded (southerly exposure).... 12.1

Trout holding tank (1000L) ... garage... 13.2

Barra tank (1000L) ... heated in garage.... 19.9

Silver Perch over-winter holding tank (4000L) ... shaded... 11.9

You could knock a couple of degrees off those figures a week or so back when we had 2 weeks of rain & cold ....

Been about six months since I last updated...

And frankly, that's about the last time I did anything on any of my systems... and it's starting to show....

Need to clean out the old stuff, and replant... like about a month ago...

The biggest surprise of all... was finding some baby yabbies in the quarantine tank....

Considering I haven't had anything, let alone yabbies, in the tank for months...

I can only figure they're from a hatch in the main tank... and have been drawn through the pump, and pipe work when they were really small....

Which makes me wonder how many ended up in the grow beds....

Saves me seperating them from mom & dad, I guess....

Cherokee purples would be my favourite tomato for fresh eating.
Your little blue barrel system seems like my little greenhouse system which also has small growbeds. It produces amazing plant growth :headbang:
