so, the area below the waterfall will be a private type of area? I thought this because of the position of the fence.

I paid for the pond today when I picked up the pump (It arrived from Brisbane this morning)
the pump is a "PondMax PL 4000f Fountain pump"...
stats of pump - 24V (running off a transformer from240 volt), 70 watts, 50Hz
Head is 4000LPH at water level and 600LPH at 2.75 m... a generally good pump which will not only supply more than enough water to the waterfall feature, but will also run a fountain head in the main pond at the same time!

As you can see in the pics below I decided to put the stats to test myself today, and Christopher joined in too! In the pic of me I am holding the end of the hose about 2.2 m above the water level - I am impressed with this pump and would consider getting one for my AP system - if this was not purchased for Cheyenne's memorial pond/garden, it would already be in my ap system ;)

So you have ended up going 240V AM. How is the power getting to the pump?

No, the pump is a 24V - running off of its own transformer...
I will be laying condute from the pool shed (I know you dont realy need it with 24V, but it will make me happier) I will be buying about 30m of cable and patching it in in the next few weeks.

Try and get some slightly oversize cable to handle the current over that distance. You can work out the voltage drop sing ohms law V=IxR, work out the current draw of the pump, the resistance of 60m (two strands) and it will give you the voltage drop over the length of cable... you idealy want it 0-0.5v MAX though you may get away with 1-1.5 V.

Right, the cable should be in my grubby paws within the next 2 weeks, so that is sorted out..
Today I recieved a fantastic christmas gift from our very own bundaberg kid... 10 full lengths of brand new 25mm h/duty underground...aka 25HD.
This is most welcome as I will be running the cable for the pump to the pond through it, which is about a 30m stretch!
THanks mate, I appreciate it, just like I am VERY greatfull for the kind donations made by SO many people, which has enabled me to make Cheyenne's memorial a reality so much sooner
THANK YOU
