What, the pipes? Not often, depends on many factors, fish levels, feed levels, type of pump. We recommend that people pull them apart to check every 6-12 months.

Thanks Joel - that makes a bit more sense :D

For me, i'll make a swirl filter cos I will use the solids there to fertilize my soil garden as well
