I guess if this is the first post Carl has made since joining in 2008, perhaps I should answer a couple of the questions..

Why is he selling? Because he's built a new house recently and needs some more money, and he's only here 3 days a week since getting a couple of days a week work at a university.

Splitting things? Only as a last resort, I'm sure he will let you know if and when he's at that stage....

Cool room panels have worked fine for the beds, though they are lined with food grade plastics. I reckon they would be ok for making a fish tank...

Hi RickFish,

Since I started at BYAP I have grown Trout, Barramundi and Silver perch in the systems. I have comfortably had over 100 fish in the 8 Bed System, but my aim over the past 12 months has been to stock the system with less fish in order to get them to a bigger size rather than push the boundaries so to speak! I have been able to grow Trout to well over 600g within the 6 months and Barramundi to nearly 1kg. Obviously, it depends on when in the season you purchase your fish and as to what size they are when you stock. As for the production of vegetables this is not something I have kept records of, but I have always had something to pick and have managed to keep my neighbours pretty well fed!

Cheers,

Carl
