also test your water. lower PH levels will aid in gettign rid of the algae. use HCL to lower but do it SLOWLY if you can get it down to about 7 it will help alot. dont use the PH down aquarium product, it makes the tank greener

yep hydrochloric acid (diggers brand from bunnings) ive never used it, but i think its a few drops in a 9l bucket, mix and add to 1000L of water

:headbang: yeah i thought so i found in the shed how much would i put in for 1500 ltrs of water i also have a limestone water feature in the pond could that be holding it up as well

I don't think I'd be adding anything personally, just take out the water feature, cover the tank and run the pump full time for a couple of days.
Remember this nearly always happens to new set-ups/systems and is not a bad thing, it's just a settling in process.
Patience is the key :D

My system went from chocolate brown due to the media to pea soup green to now a milky white due to fines in the media...

Throw a shadecloth over it and pump/air like hell....should clear in a week.

All right got the alge (green water issue) under control add more grow bed redoing my old set up and just got 12 more barra today from GP twice the size of the ones i got a month ago so happy about that will post some more photos soon thanks for ya help
