Hi everybody :wave1:
Im new to this aquaponics, and have just set up a small BYAP system with the help of freoboy (champ) :D

not much to look at yet but extensions are planned :) at the moment its just a 500L GB, with a 1000L FT. 11 koi cycling the system atm and im just on the back of the 'pea soup' phase :hsm:

pics to follow, freoboy just has to teach me how to do it :lol:

ill post a pic up here seeing as FFW hasnt yet.
this is the gb on planting, the FT is beyond. tommies at the back are much bigger and just starting to flower. lettuces have struggled, its a bit of a hot place, but we've put up shadecloth an its starting to take of now :)

FT is clearing up nicely :)

Thanx for encouragement. After seeing this pic I can see it really has grown. The gb is on the North with strong hot easterlies blowing from 5am - 10am and full sun throughout the day until sunset. I think it will come into its own in winter but wonder if too harsh in summer. I have put up 50% shadecloth but wonder if enough. The chives are frizzled on the ends and the lettuces a bit stiff - they are green enough .

Hi FFW, I have 70% shadecloth on my shadehouses and everything grows great. I am in western Vic and we get blistering heat in summer.
