I've never known anyone with a mac to admit that anything windows is any good in any way. They'd rather use an abacus than touch windows as a general rule.... :)

I'd go over to linux in a heartbeat if it only had directx. I'm in a job that requires me to play games between customers. :D

yeah Ubuntu is Very simple with a lot of new hardware support

Nvidia drivers are Good and good audio etc, most DTV Tuners etc, WIFI & Network.

iv got mine running 2 DualTuner HDTV Cards, Nvidia 6800GT (old but gold) running out too my Plasma and a 5.1 Soundcard Digital to my 5.1 system, Running Mythbuntu (a mixture of Ubuntu Linux and Mythtv Mediacentre) all worked pretty much out of the box. Alongside 4 x 1TB Hardrives and a Blu-Ray

Best is that the software is all free, more stable, no need to manage anything updates all do themselfs automaticly, from my iinet server so no data use on my Internet account... no need to look for that windows key on the piece of paper thats lost cos ur mate didnt write it on the dvd :)

Actually windows 7 pro is the first Distro i actually own :shifty:

m3tal - that statement alone is worth a trip down to Bendigo to PLEAD with you for an hour or two of your time to show me how to use the thing. :notworthy: (No-one I know - including a few mates who are computer geniuses - have a clue!)

Downloaded it about a year ago to use Ubuntu Studio which is supposed to be an awesome music recording program, but cannot get a grip on the Linux/Ubuntu system so its been sitting on my Laptop untouched ever since!

P.S. and perhaps I could check out your AP system while Im there... sneaky huh. :D
