We have a special on thermometers at the moment. With temperatures getting to those critical levels for anyone that has either Trout about to come out, or Barra about to go in, you need to keep a close eye on your temperatures. Having a thermometer that you can view quickly and easily takes the guess work out of things.

You can get one thermometer delivered within Australia for 9.50 or two for only $16.

Get in quick because they won't last, just click the link below.

Our Fish have eaten the glass ones on more than one occasion... Rather funny watching a fish swim around with a thermometer hanging out of it's mouth...

Be funny if they actually broke it. The alcohol would probably do them in :D

Glass ones are a pain. Broke one in Georges tank, not sure if the stuff in the bottom was lead or steel. Digital is a lot easier to read.

My first batch of trout broke my first thermometer, never did find any of the broken glass. Also lost a small diamond while playing in one of my growbeds. The thermometer was cheaper to replace, so not too worried about that after we disovered that it was not mercury weighing the bottom of them down.

Yeah steel balls in the bottom of those glass thermometers, we broke one open to check it out because we were worried about selling them if it was lead..

Probably not highly splash proof... Dunno, we might have to road test one of them. We did that with the new pumps we are selling, demolished one, pulled it all apart, dropped it on the ground, ran it 15 min on, 15 off for ages, cut the cable etc....

I'd rather back them around myself to see what they can handle, the only real way to know if they will stand up to others abuse... Might have to run one of the pumps dry for a while, see how long it lasts without water.... :geek:
