leaves haven't all died yet, but they are startin to. We are missing our garlic, so thought we would pull them up, dry them and start an early batch. My wife put in over 70 plants and they have all bulbed up really well. We figure that at 1 plant per week, we should have plenty of garlic to keep the vampires away and then grow the remainder out from the 20 or so left!

Nice garlic i learnt an easy way to plat it just get a wire coat hanger straighton it a small hook both ends put your first one with the bulb just through the hook next one put the stem closest to the last one and bring the bulb around the wire and drape it over the stem then keep going after you master it its easy

There are plenty of ways to either string or plait Onions and garlic.
Try these.

or traditional Plait:

System ticking along very nicely but all things must come to an end :support:

After much consideration and I must say some heartache, the Quach Clan have decided to move! We are currently getting the house ready for sale, actually it is already on the market but not yet advertised. We should be ready in a week and will be advertising by the start of Dec. Sad times, but now looking for a bigger property to transform. 10-20 acres within 1 hr from work is what we are looking for (work in Bacchus) Ahhhh....

Hope to get a longish settlement so that we can harvest all our produce! If the buyer wishes to keep the AP system then I will leave it, but if not then I'll be taking it with me and re-setting up where we move.

For those that have been here and seen the very beginnings of this place, we started with nothing on the block, and now have thriving established fruit trees, native/indigenous garden, ducks and chickens, bees, wicking beds, worm farm, tons of potatoe beds etc.... it will be a sad day when we finally have to leave....

To infinity and beyond!

Get ya self a portable smoker Nam, if you havn't already! get one like mine you can do 4x30cm trout in 20 mins then chuck em in the freezer! Let me know if you run out of room in the freezer too! :thumbleft:
Oh and great news on the move, give me a call about the ins and outs of the new place, also if you need to move the AP I will definately give you a hand, both in moving tanks to new propert but also storage of live ones until system is back in place! Will help my system along and hopefully give your stock a better chance of surviving the move.
