After a float switch for my pump, to ensure it can't pump dry. Must have 5m cable and piggy back switch. Anyone know where to get one?

The quality of this equipment far outweighs the price over time! Perhaps you should have bought a pump with a built in float switch? like all my pumps!
Muz also has 12/24V float switches but they aren't the same as what you asked for. No leads and only for pumps drawing up to 14 Amp. http://www.aquaponics.net.au/product/prod25.htm

Well the float switch from Jaycar will not withstand the test of time and buildup of biofilm. If you add the cost of stuffing around, bribing someone to do a make-shift job for you, I think you are better off buying one that would work without stuffing around... It would be cheaper in the end and the solution will probably work for a few years without a second bribing required.

And of course don't forget the risk of electricity.

You're all probably right. I just have a natural tendency to try and make the dollar go further, and automatically shop around as much as is practicable. All without compromising on safety.

Almost every where ever ive gone cheap on my system it has caused me more problems than the money saved or stress because ive worried that something will fail.

Its silly really because I.know better when it comes to power tools.
