... Whilst on my travels this afternoon, I chanced across a large fibreglass pond on a roadverge collection pile.

It was approx 2500L x 1000W x 500H. Looked very salvageable! Couldn't manage a pic - was on the fly...

Located in Foxall Place, South Lake.

If you go to get it, let others know by leaving a note here - don't want 1/3 of Perths AP community embarking on a futile voyage!

Was it pond a random pond shape or a rectangular tank?

Edit - rectangular pond, hence the dimensions.

It may even be taller than 500 too - maybe 750?

Definitely pushing 2000L, I'd say. Even if it had imperfections, it'd be nothing that pond liner wouldn't manage. I see there's a similar one in the gumtree for 300 bones (albeit a plastic one!).

I woulda grabbed it for my ownself, but there was barely room on the back o'the skateboard!

Seems both cars need fuel and I can't be bothered hooking the trailer up, getting fuel and driving that far (I am settled in for the night here ) so someone else better grab it, pitty

Tell you what, I'll drive past tomorrow and if it;s still there, I'll chuck it on the ute and take it to the shop, then sell it for 100 bucks...

Thats if it's till there... And assuming I can get it on the ute myself.

Footnote - I take no responsibility for the structural integrity of the pond -- I had a quick visual and it looked a-okay. If I had the need for it, I'd be down there right now salvaging it!

I do want it.............. but won't be able to get it tomorrow, would have to be after work one day next week (probably Monday), need to come by and grab some small feed for the SP I plan on getting next weekend anyway. Do you have anything suitable for fingerlings and would you be able to throw the tank out the back somwhere until then if it is still there....pretty please?

Eat your Weeties EB - it's a big sucker! There'd be a fair bit of overhang in a ute, but it'd only be just on a Km or so to the shop!
