Do you have to worry about filters on the input side of the water storage tanks? Also, is the water for the sinks and stuff potable water?

Everybody in the bush drinks tank water
Keep the gutters clean, and clean the sieve on the input at the tank.
Can put in a first flush system if you want

Don't do it near factories or a busy road is the main rule

any particular reason for the two pumps, instead of just connecting the two tanks, and running one pump? I mean, its nice and symmetrical, but seems like a bit of a waste of money.

great install though. the attention to detail is excellent. Its amazing what can be acheived when you have a big pile of money to plan things right, rather than trying to adjust systems later on as funds become available.

Probably more than I quoted Gnash... :? ... especially with delays from weather and delivery issues, which meant things like scaffolding hire and petrol costs blew out...

But, including the site levelling, underground electrical trench and everything else except the external landscaping and solar/wind... around $50,000....

Orcy... originally only one tank and pump were intended, but with the external beds and need for a drip irrigation system, and client request for the ability to access water from both sides... the additional tank & pump were incorporated....

And it does give some redundancy in case of pump failure...

The tanks aren't interconnected... but could be.... mainly because we wanted to keep the space between them for a possible hydronic chiller...

Thanks for that tip Monya.... :tongue2:.... you sure it's not your eyes that are the problem...
