More work on the shed today.

Finished all but one section of the concrete edging, and put up almost all of the fabric:

We've also decided the roof needs replacing; even where I have water-blasted it, it looks like what they sell as "opal" - which is typically only 50% transmission.

So I'm watching some clear fibreglass roofing on eBay...

I'm also impatiently waiting for three more corner spas or baths to fall in my lap.

Tomorrow:
  1. finish the last bits of fabric covering
  2. finish the last section of concrete edging
  3. reweld the steel door frame I picked up at the recycling centre to the right dimensions for the opening
  4. fabric-cover the door
  5. hang the door
  6. drink beer

Experience shows that No. 6 either leads to No.s 1-5 being done increasingly badly or not being completed at all...

I decided to take gnash06's advice, and managed to achieve No. 6 throughout the day.

Sadly, this meant, as predicted, achievement was patchy:
  1. was not achieved
  2. was achieved
  3. was achieved, not particularly well
  4. was not achieved
  5. was achieved
  6. was achieved, and achieved, and achieved - and is still being achieved

Edging finished:

The door was bought from the local recycling yard; too tall and not wide enough:

Nothing that can't be solved with an angle grinder (or, as my 5 y.o. girl calls it, a bangle sparkler):

Nearly finished the shed wrapping; the door was done today, so that just leaves the two triangles on the gable ends:

A little cleaning up around the bottom where the shadecloth meets the ground and it's done.

Took a trip to the tip with a bunch of rubbish and look what was there!

The world's ugliest spa, or as I like to call it, growbed 2.

Still looking for two more corner baths or spas, and 112 linear meters of clear fibreglass or polycarbonate corrugated roofing...

Air pump turned up yesterday - one of the few new items in the whole setup:

The air line was a little tough to get on the adaptor, so it needed to be heated:

Tea still tasted good.

Air pump in position; I've not yet done the hoses & airstones. Yes, it's screwed down; I wouldn't want it to fall in the sump:

Kathy needs to wash some more crushed brick, and I need to finish wrapping the gable ends of the shed.

Then I need to balance the water flows and fine-tune the water levels.

And plant.
