I get rid of most people, have around 50 "friends" but most of them I have actually met in person, the rest are just hangers on whom want to gossip and be pains in the arse...so the delete button is a good thing.
The movie about the fruit loop that started FB is coming out soon, one of the comments this young guy made early on in the peice was "I can belive people trust me with this shit"

You know I was a SysOp of a BBS back in the day... If any of you even know what that is. Call it the pre-internet. I kinda understand the feeling that guy must have felt. I frequently had to look through all kinds of personal information people put in their account info. None of these people knew me personally (well, not at first). You do feel amazed people will just automatically trust you because you are a SysOp. As they say, with great power comes great responsibility.

Yep. I'm old enough and geeky enough! Ran a small one called The Bulletin Baud. The old FidoNet hey. The internet tubes were small back then! The mind boggles now at what Google must know.

I'm a young bugger so am very much on fb  I find its very useful for keeping in touch with friends far away, advertise events and flirt with the young ladies.

I think we could get the word about AP a lot quicker if there was a fb prescence attached, might even get people constantly putting up pictures and setting their statuses and what not.

Would never even be in the same league as the forum as a source of information and a platform to meet really great people :bigsmurf:
