Hi all
I brought one of these a little while ago but found it was too noisy for me as my AP is just outside of my son's bedroom. This would suit someone who has their system in the shed or at least away from the house. It has only been used once for a few hours. It is slightly damaged with the plastic handle a bit melted, but this hasn't affected the actual pump. If you look at the link below they are currently being sold for $70 (plus postage). Any reasonable offer will be considered.

Sorry , already gone down the same path, same conclusion, but will keep mine for a spare emergency pump.
Agreed that they are way too noisy for a surburban setup

try adding a small tube into the inlet pipe this has made mine a lot quieter

I tried a few different things but I couldnt make it any quieter.

... After learning from Pete that you did that, Wolly, I gave it a crack - and found that the quietening was due to a restriction of inlet air flow caused by the reduced diameter. I tested the pump by inflating balloons, both with and without the added inlet tube, and there was a marked difference with inflation times. Probably not a good idea for the longevity and efficiency of the pump, so I removed it...

Hillsy showed me that idea, I was around the other day and he has changed it to another piece of tubing with a bigger OD that goes over the outside of the inlet that silences it too, I think it just needs the extension. I find with mine the vibrations on the metal shelf with everything else on there gets noisy, If I put it on a brick or something solid with some foam under it to absorb the vibrations it got quieter too.

my small ones were kinda noisy, when they were new, I put long feed lines on them and put them at the back of the shed with a long tube on the intake side too and put that up out of the way and it helped out heaps.. now they are seasoned, they are quite quiet.
