Well done DC :D

Quite an old camera now too, it's a nice one. It's a model I chose because it has 4 x AA batteries, which last for aaages, I think its around 600 photos per set. Pretty much all the photos in AP have been taken with this camera, in fact over 6500 photo's have been taken so far :D

Oh Hai :D

All 2000 fish survived the trip fine, only had 2 or 3 dead the next day. They are quite small and very hungry so far.

I'll have some photos on the weekend, it's dark when I go to work, and dark when I get home....been harvesting vegies by caplamp :headbang:

O God, imagine trying to get sheep past the council lol. One of the reasons for the holdup with the council is the fact they are classing the fish as livestock. Even though they dont have legs rofl.

Really?
I've been thinking about trying for a livestock loan to pay for my fish. The Farm Beginnings folks think its not a bad idea, but they think Heifer International will never go for it. Worth a shot, though.

Beautiful system, OBO.

Been a while, death by photo's :D

The Trout harvest is slowly getting underway, 20 have been harvested so far, 45 are in an IBC ready for harvest, and an unknown amount are still in the big tank.

Plant growth coming into summer has been awesome.

Hired a dingo again to backfill the pipework between the last lot of IBC's added, this is to reduce the amound of heat being absorbed by the system in summer. Not much clearance here! Both fish tanks have also been backfilled now, again for heat protection.

Because the new section of IBC's and tank has now stabilised, I decided to move the mature Silvers from the Trout system, across to the new Silver's side. There are around 40 nice sized Silvers ranging from 400g to 1kg.

I also decided that the remaining Black Bream (10 or so) were wasting a whole IBC, so they were dispatched to fishy heaven, AKA, Mazzas mouth :D Bream are useless in AP, the portion that Mazza has here is over 2 years old. They also die for no reason.

Aqua Dog:

Everything is running really well, had a small problem with the new Spider, it was getting stuck randomly, pulled it apart, wasnt really dirty at all, cleaned it all and silicone sprayed all the bits, works realy smoothly again now. Water is a bit green from the extra sunlight, started to shade the tanks today. Not gonna blow the money on proper shade covers until I get council approval.

I keep hearing about this "council" thing in Australia. Sounds like a real monster. Don't get me wrong, we are supposed to get permits for construction here in the states too, just not on my property. :twisted:

The Trout are all around 500g - because of my mishap earlier in the season they are not as big as usual.

Council = local area government.
