I am on steves side, it is not the same as water creating a current path... just make sure they are stainless screws and washers.... very ingenious all the same...

Yep - fuses are dirt cheap tho

Oscilloscopes - are they still used nowadays, haven't used one in years (oh sorry - just noticed your age, these young'uns mightn't know what they are :roll:

I've got a TDS 220 sitting right in front of me :) They are still the most important tool in an electrical engineers toolbox. Even more useful than a freeze spray!

I can't aford a big one, so use a little handheld job... only 0-20khz but it does the job, which I mut admint it is not that often...
