Steve is just around the corner from you Michael... I'll see if he's going to take some Silver's to replace his trout shortly...

Email me... I can bring fish up to you when I bring some up to Steve... or whenever you're ready...

Rupert (and TCLynx) -
Thanks for your responses.

Yes, I am literally around the corner from Steve - Berrima's not real big...

I was hoping, in fact, to come down & have a look at your system, if you'd be open to that - you're not that far away from me. You'd be welcome - & I'd appreciate you doing so - to have a look at my system-under-construction whilst you're in Berrima.

I like the idea of Trout; I hadn't thought of Murray Cod (aren't they very large & very slow growing?).

Trout/Silver Perch/Murray Cod - can all three - or any two - coexist, or will I just end up with one, very happy, very well fed breed?

I wouldnt put silvers in with trout or murray cod.
My climate would be somewhat similar to yours with frosty winters and hot summers. I have trout in my small system and just put some silver perch in the new bigger system. The trout will have to be harvested over the next few weeks before the water gets too warm for them (25C).
Going to get some eel tail catfish and bass in the coming months for year round fish.
I plan to understock both systems and when its time for trout again next autumn I can move the fish from small system to bigger one , and put trout in the small system again.

Well thats the plan anyway.

You're more than welcome to drop down and have a look around anytime Michael... and if I'm up that way I'll definitely drop in and say hello...

Email me your address details, and I'll respond likewise...
