Depends a bit on head, longest run of piping... but I'd suggest a minimum 4500L... (preferably at the head you're using)

model.

I run a 1metre rise out of the tanks to a run of 6 metres in length feeding three small 100 litre grow beds on each station (currently 3 will be eventually all 6 stations)

Okay, didnt realise there was a pump place next door to my shop until I headed home today, dahhh.

They had a pondmax 5000 in stock, so I grabbed it. plumbed in and all is working fine

Basically it just shows that the 3000l model isnt up to the job when putting a sequencing valve in line, works fine for a while but slightest wear and it wont sequence

About what I suspected Simso....

The 3000L only has about 1.8mtr head from memory... with an actual 1mtr of head, and the additional "head" due to restrictive forces of 6mtr of piping.... you were probably only getting a flow rate of about 2000L/H at best (more likely <1500L/H), which is probably the lowest range for the valve...

And then there's the lessening of flow from the bio-film buildup you spoke of...

Glad to hear it's all OK now....
