Yeah funny that, you can't see anything between the keys normally, but the camera flash sure shows it up... I'm not game to tip it upside down...

It shows that I eat at my puter normally, no time for lunch breaks...

Not much has changed in 3 weeks except for the fish, they are romping along, I have given up on everything veg wise except the Radish and the peas, have planted some corn but cold is holding it back a bit, Blue Marron have doubled in size and are moving around a bit more :thumbright: hope to get some cobbler soon if it rains, 5mm for the month is a bit sad to say the least

Nice fish Rupe, but they maybe really small scales as we can't see the weight :D
My 30 fish are eating more than 50 last year, they don't look fat so I think they are using it all, We have had a record amount of frost this year and this maybe accounting for the unusual amount of feed and growth :dontknow:

Na, just better fish stock I recon Nocky.
In fact the best growth time for trout is coming up with water temps around the 15 -18C mark.

Hi Paul,
I wouldn't get too carried way about cobblers as all of mine eventually died. They got white spots all over them and started behaving strange for a while before they died.Someone else had the same problem with them ,it could be the cold that is the problem as my fish tank got down to five degrees for a while .they may be worth keeping through the summer .You probably don't want to hear this but you had better come over one night and see the redies eating pellets. My trout are doing well, the only one that I have lost jumped out.I have lost one of my supplies of redfin ,we think some miserable bastard put exslosives in the dam.I hope that they leave the other one alone but as it is more isolated than this one I am not very hopeful.

Kewl... how long did it take you to get them onto pellets... and how did you introduce them to the pellet...

Good stuff Don, will get around soon, flat out with Meetings and Courses, only took a year to get them eating pellets
Cobbler may have got diseased :dontknow: but will run some over summer, will read up and see what temps than can handle, but they survive in the wild
As Rupe said, how did you get them on Pellets, should be easy to train more now, will see if I can score some when on the cobbler hunt

I put a couple of trout in with them to teach them,They seem to feed better late at night,I have a light in the tank so you can see what is going on.Their table manners are better than the trout, when you throw feed in to them you have to stand back so you don't get wet.It is about a month since I put the trout in there ,I have noticed that the pellets seem to be dissarearing and I wasn't sucking any up off the bottom and then I saw them last night.

I believe that you have to put something else in with yellow belly to teach them to eat pellets also

A good theory that has proved to be a complete waste of time.... even less of them (yellowbelly)... ate the pellets...

Instead... eating the other fish.... :laughing3:
