Here`s the pics as promised, the first is the inside of the greenhouse wall of the wires you saw and the second is the V-grip product that I used to secure the plastic with, its a bit more expensive than the "wire lock" product, but it will not let go of the plastic

Thanks Tea20. That V lock on the plastic does look quite reliable, though must have been a sticky interference fit to put together. Still don't understand the strainer wire though, Its strengthening the frame that I can see but how is it helping the plastic?

Not a lot realy but dose help with the sag/bowing of the plastic on the ceiling side, they say when you install greenhouse film, do it on a fairly warm day so you can pull it tighter

Simple Structural basics: Provides diagonal cross bracing for the sub-structure, keeps the framing from "racking" or deforming; thus maintaining even tension/s on the membrane cladding. Basic triangles etc. etc.
You just keep to acting and learn from those who know other basic skills !! Not being nasty, just keeping you informed!

I appreciate being informed Ian, much obliged :]

Luckily my degree in Mechanical engineering helps understanding all these triangles, got that the wires would help the frame, was just not factoring frame warp into the plastic's deformation, a minor variable, but a variable nonetheless as now that I think of it minor vibrations in the frame due to wind or heat expansion would really muck up the plastic.

Either ways, thanks for letting me know :wave1:

All going good now, had a few little hiccups, nothing major, had a siphon that was starting a little late causing a little flooding and loss of small amount of water, then went to top it back up and left the hose on a little longer than I should have... oops

Flat out with work and doing maintenance on the wifes horse float so the aquaponics is only getting basic attention, for a little while anyway

Good progress Tea20, don't beat yourself up about forgetting the hose, a lot of people seem to do that.

Ian: I din't mean to be rude, all in good fun, hope you're not offended or anything :]

Troutman: Thats because I'm a good actor 8)
