I'm sorry to backtrack but how do you mean drugs...?

Possible concerns with antibiotics and other drugs being used by the provider of the "humonia" passing into the AP system Abdul...

Anti biotics, prescription medicines or grade A narcotics I understand, but grade C narcotics shouldn't be an issue should they? Like tobacco, alcohol or marijuana??

Not sure I'd want my fish pissed or stoned.. and banging into the sides of the tank....

And I sure as hell don't want them dying of lung cancer before I get to eat them...

Yea but you add the pee before you put in the fish, and stop adding once they in there, at most they'd get a bit of a second hand buzz.

Maybe you could even raise scotch flavoured trout ;]

Abdul, I suppose what we are trying to advise is if you are going to do fishless cycle, try to use hummonia that is not altered by any form of drugs... They are certain things that on its own may not seem harmful to humans (on low doses anyways) but could be very toxic to fishes, or the bacteria. In short, the aquaponics system as a whole.

But you could try the scotch option and let us know if it works...

all of these class "c's" i would have to think would be broken down by the fishs natural metabolism ...alcohol will evaporate with the airation, and the subsequest cooking. The flavour would remain though...maybe try lots of white wine to save having to add it in the pan
