Home brew and aquaponics sound about perfect to me. I used to go to U brewit in Malaga. Had a few goes at home made some stuff that would have taken the paint off the wall.

Well the rest are starting to give up this morning. Does anyone know if I can put them out of their misery and have them for dinner? Some of them are a about plate size and seems like a waste to just plant them in the garden.

The remaining fish all died this morning.

I am going to start over as soon as possible. My plants are all doing fine and now need to look at the best way to keep them alive.

Should I dump all the water or just part of it?

All the test levels are in a good range.

I will probably get more fish sometime in the next week. Most likely Perch or something else available.

Gee bad luck rob

imho i would empty it jus to see if anything is causing the grief. Of course save the water or part of it if u want to keep it cycled somewhat.

+1...might as well keep the water just have a good look at your system and try determine the why's....there has to be a reason for the high ph.

In the mean time keep the system cycling and add a bit of seasol for the plants or a tiny bit of urea for the ammonia

Oh and what grow media are you using? there are no pic's :(

Thanks for the advice. I am using large pea gravel as the medium. Found One of bigger fish going still going strong. Have to see how he is in the morning. Replaced about a third of the water. Hopefully will help with the PH.

I do a bit a work for Dempster steel in Northam. I have been meaning to head out there at some point.
