Others will know more than me but I would let the ammonia get to 0 then add some more humonia. You will need more ammonia for the bacteria, but not more than the bacteria can handle if possible.
Or wait till 0 ammonia and put in some goldfish. Goldfish worked for me because I had a fish pond to put them in when I got the trout.

In my 500L tank I had 10 smallish and 2 bigger ones that I netted out of the pond.
Got the system cycled and then got 20 trout of around 125mm. 2 trout died after a major stuffup but 18 have survived and have been in there for just over 3 months. I had slight ammonia and nitrite spikes after putting in the trout but nothing to panic about, althogh I did back then

Give the ballarat trout farm a call if your thinking of using feeders. You'll find them very competitive.

Ammo seems to have dropped to 0

Nitrite is .25

will still wait to add more hummonia incase of another spike.

Crisis Yesterday!

went out Yesterday morning to find my GB stand wasnt quite upto the job, So i tried to jack it up and put some more legs under it when it all stated to go to shit, and try falling over.

so i bit the bullet and decided that i had to remove the media from my beds and remake the gb stand upto standards.

i cut the old trampo down and put the ends back in, used 2 palletts and screwed them to the trampo with some big decking screws, made a middle leg to hold the middle up :P and braced the whole thing with a ratchet strap, this will be replaced with some steel diag' braces when i can get the welder out here from work to weld it in.

i also changed the position as the neighbor cleared some trees and opened up some more sun for me and the ground has much more rigitiy about it there.

my Drains now run over 2mt each to the sump and i had to fiddle to get them running but i found if i remove the elbow on the end it works fine every time so far :P

all flow is running fine, i run out of plumbing supplies so ive just improvised until i get to the HW Shop to get some more 40mm PVC, but all is running ok now, iv also been able to turn up the flow :) as my siphons aren't as fussy

ok ok enought chatter heres the photos
